DECEMBER home lesson
prayer cornerThis month our prayer is the Glory Be. It reminds us of the Birth of Our Lord because when Jesus was born in Bethlehem, the Angels sang “Glory to God in the highest”. Just like the Apostles’ Creed that we learned last month, the Glory Be also reminds us of one of the basic teachings of our faith – that God is a Trinity of Persons.
You can learn the words of this prayer by praying along with this VIDEO. But even more important, you should think about the words and really praise God as you pray, just like the Angels did on that first Christmas night. Then discuss this question together by clicking the "Let's Talk" link below. Children from PK-8: Take this quiz and see if you know this prayer by heart now. QUIZ

Virtue of the month: GENEROSITY“O marvelous exchange! Man’s Creator has become man, born of the Virgin. We have been made sharers in the divinity of Christ who humbled himself to share our humanity.” Liturgy of the Hours - January 1st
"Giving without expecting return …“Generosity is impossible apart from our love of God and of His people. But with such love, generosity not only is possible but inevitable.” |
